We are accepting applications for potential openings at Kids on Campus for the 2024-25 academic year. The need for these positions is dependent upon operational needs including enrollment and staffing. We anticipate openings at every school. When a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting. These are grant-funded positions.
For the TWO OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, please attach a copy of your current, valid Ohio teaching license AND a copy of your high school diploma or GED.
Positions work at our afterschool sites located off the Ohio University campus and/or virtual work. Potential work sites include:
Belpre City Schools in Belpre, Ohio
Eastern Local Schools in Reedsville, Ohio
Federal Hocking Secondary School in Stewart, Ohio
Nelsonville-York City Schools in Buchtel, Ohio
Millcreek Elementary in Corning, Ohio

Job Description

MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE.

These are grant-funded positions.

Afterschool Teachers plan and implement activities during the afterschool program, which may be in person or in a remote/virtual format. They develop lesson plans using Common Core Math and Literacy standards. They collect and review relevant Math and Literacy assessment data. They act as a liaison between the school day and afterschool programs to assure alignment with school day curriculum. These positions fulfill the certified teacher requirement for the grantor.

These positions pay $19.00 per hour and can work up to 14 hours per week (including planning time), depending on site needs and applicant availability. Successful applicants will work with site supervisors to arrange a weekly schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid Ohio teaching license (must upload to application)

High School diploma or GED (must upload to application)

Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field

Successful applicants must also pass a new Ohio Department of Job and Family Services compliant background check, and complete a physical exam provided by their physician. Costs for these requirements are up to the applicant.
