A global industrial manufacturing company in the greater Parkersburg, WV area is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate must be able to resolve quality issues with suppliers, ensure all standard operating procedures and countermeasures are used, and audit internal systems to prevent quality control issues.

Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer may include but is not limited to:

• Audit Suppliers and supplier systems for potential risk
• Work and resolve quality issues with suppliers in a timely manner
• Responsible for supplier development activity with assigned suppliers
• Maintain open communication with all suppliers to maintain the highest quality possible.
• Ensure company is always at the highest quality possible and within customer compliance.
• Train and communicate effectively with other quality engineers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements of the Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Minimum 2-3 years of Quality experience in a manufacturing setting
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma or 5S, GD&T experience desired
• Must be willing to travel up to 20%
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, lift in excess of 30 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Preferred Skills and knowledge for Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Strong communication skills with all levels of an organization
• Able to prioritize work and delegate tasks effectively
• Capable of maintaining high confidentiality
• Working knowledge of networks and database systems.
• Proven ability using Root Cause Analysis
