Library Director at WVU Institute of Technology -- West Virginia University

Applications are being accepted for the position of Library Director at West Virginia University (WVU) Institute of Technology in Beckley, WV. The Library Director is the lead administrator for the WVU Tech Library with overall responsibility for leading, staffing, programming, and enriching the services and opportunities the library brings to the life of the WVU Tech campus community. The Library Director works with library staff at WVU Tech and across the WVU Libraries, student support services, academic units, and directly with students to enhance, develop and integrate library services and resources.

The Library Director's focus is on enhancing information literacy across campus through instruction and integrated services and programming. The Library Director also participates in and develops “Communiversity” programming. This is a faculty position that participates in the faculty processes at WVU Tech and is a member of the WVU Libraries Faculty Assembly. In this small library, the Library Director must also be engaged in all aspects of library work, including supervision, facilities, outreach, reference and research services, and desk coverage as needed.
