Description:

Promanco, a real estate management, development and construction company based in Historic Marietta, OH currently seeks a dynamic Construction Project Estimator/Manager to join our team. The Construction Project Estimator/Manager is responsible forthe supervision of construction of Promanco managed properties as well as outside work from concept to completion; ensuring that the projects are completed within the time and budgetary constraints. The Construction Project Estimator/Manager will oversee all maintenance, preventative maintenance, construction and repair of Promanco managed properties and any outside contracting work. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset and great organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Obtains multiple vendor material and sub-contractor quotes, negotiates costs, scope of work and fees and drafts and administrates the purchase order and subcontract agreements.
  • Plans all required procurement and construction activities, schedules all required project activities and maintains the project schedule using a Critical Path Method.
  • Manages all project Quality Control and Quality Assurance requirements for the project.
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion i.e., organization, scheduling, implementation, monitoring progress and overall compliance with safety codes.
  • Assists with the financial planning and monitoring of the project. Administrate the project cost control management method to include but not limited to, budget preparation into the corporate cost management system, maintain job cost coding vs. the project budget, review and project costs for project completion.
  • Manages all project change orders and administrates the change order process.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Plans ahead to prevent any problems and resolve any that may emerge.
  • Review the work progress on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all health, safety and environmental regulations are being observed.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Resolves problems that may arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues and delays.
  • Performs cost-estimating duties for the various projects.
  • Available after general work hours in order to respond to emergency calls.
  • Maintains the material and supplies inventory using the guidelines established by the company.
  • Primarily works independently and takes the lead role on projects.
  • Directs help as needed for projects to ensure productivity and safety.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Ensures that all properties maintain an appropriate appearance in order to project a positive image.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or;
  • Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material/project management experience
  • Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
