Worker's Compensation Claims Representative - REMOTE

Position handles worker's compensation claims under Ryders self?insured, self?administered program.

Summary

This position investigates and resolves workers compensation claims, ensuring cost?effective resolution and high quality customer service. It also ensures compliance with state statutes to avoid fines and maintain right to self?insure.

Essential Functions

  • Investigate and resolve low to high exposure worker's compensation claims pursued against Ryder and insured customers.
  • Achieve cost?effective resolution of all claims while maintaining high level of customer service.
  • Maintain compliance with state statutes to avoid fines and penalties and protect self?insurance status.

Additional Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 13 years of experience in worker's compensation claims.

Skills
  • Ability to handle low to high exposure worker's compensation claims.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and clear verbal & written communication.
  • Strong negotiation skills with vendors, shop and insurers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to worker's compensation claims.

  • Salary: $70,000 $75,000 per year.
  • Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long?term incentive plan based on level.
