Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the food service program, ensuring high standards of food quality, inventory management, food safety, and customer service.
  • Lead and support the food service team to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Keep accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
  • Conduct staff training and perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
  • Effectively communicate directives from client managers and administrators to the team.
  • Ensure the use of protective gear and the safe mixing of cleaning solutions; report equipment issues promptly.
  • Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures to maintain a clean environment.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality while completing tasks on time.
  • Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
  • Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision is preferred.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is preferred.
  • Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
  • Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Residency within the service area required.
