Automotive Title Clerk

Location: Parkersburg, WV
Pay: $15-$17 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time- Temp (4-5 months)

Manpower is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join a well-established Auto Group in Parkersburg, WV-serving the community for over 110 years. As an Automotive Title Clerk, you will perform essential administrative functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of vehicle titles and registrations. Your work directly impacts dealership compliance, cash flow, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit all tax and title documentation for vehicle sales in compliance with state and DMV regulations.
• Process and verify payment collection, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Maintain a detailed log of all outstanding title work; follow up on delays and report issues to management.
• Process extended service contracts and assist with yearly dealer tag renewals.
• Communicate with customers, lenders, and internal departments to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Support the dealership in protecting revenue and ensuring timely funding by:
  • Moving titles quickly and accurately to get the store paid (retail deals, payoffs, wholesalers, lenders).
  • Preventing chargebacks, penalties, and DMV/tax/lien errors.
  • Accelerating CIT/Funding so cash isn't delayed in deals.
  • Enhancing customer satisfaction (CSI) through clean paperwork and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Must have a keen eye for detail.
• Sales background is helpful but not required.
• Previous experience in automotive title processing, dealership admin, or related clerical/office roles preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and comfort interacting with customers and vendors.
• Proficiency with computers, office software, and dealership/business systems.
• High level of reliability, responsibility, and confidentiality.
