Position Overview: Join our team as a Customer Service Representative, where you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers. In this vital role, you'll handle sales transactions, keep the store well-stocked, and help maintain a clean andsafe shopping environment. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to handle tobacco, lottery products, and alcohol.

Position Classification: Full Time or Part Time

Position Reports To: Retail Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager

Minimum Education: Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry boxes and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds;
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (95%), with some sitting (5%);
  • Physical agility to climb, balance, reach, bend, and crouch as needed;
  • Strong vision capabilities, including close, distant, and peripheral vision;
  • Ability to identify odors and clearly hear commands and communications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance at all times.
  2. Create a positive shopping experience by greeting customers with a smile.
  3. Assist customers in locating products as needed.
  4. Promote and upsell related products whenever appropriate.
  5. Efficiently process sales transactions and handle payments with accuracy.
  6. Familiarize yourself with payment systems and transaction processes.
  7. Strictly adhere to state laws regarding the sale of lottery, alcohol, and tobacco.
  8. Encourage customers to enroll in loyalty programs.
  9. Monitor store property for suspicious activity and report to the manager.
  10. Keep an eye on gas pumps to prevent theft.
  11. Report any equipment malfunctions to the manager.
  12. Stock shelves and coolers to ensure product availability.
  13. Maintain cleanliness in food service areas to meet health standards.
  14. Actively participate in the upkeep of a safe store environment.
  15. Follow security and emergency protocols as trained.
  16. Report any customer accidents or injuries to the manager.
  17. Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
  18. Communicate issues and concerns to the manager on duty.
  19. Complete Daily Shift Reports at the end of each shift.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.
