Ferroglobe is one of the world's leading suppliers of silicon metal, silicon-based and manganese-based specialty alloys and ferroalloys, serving a customer base across the globe in dynamic and fast-growing end markets, such as solar, automotive, consumer products, construction and energy.

Ferroglobe is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator for our Waterford, Ohio location. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the shipment of materials, ensuring all processes comply with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Schedule outgoing shipments for vans, bulk trucks, tankers, and railcars.
  2. Complete all required paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery certificates, certificates of analysis, tags, Canadian customs documents, hazmat documents, and MSDS sheets.
  3. Maintain Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) for all materials shipping to and from the warehouse.
  4. Complete bulk pile adjustments and keep track of all incoming orders.
  5. Prepare and complete end-of-month reports.
  6. Receive material into the SAP system.
  7. Maintain communication with carriers to assure timely and accurate load shipments.
  8. Responsible for weigh-in/weigh-out regulations and documentation.
  9. Prepare inter-company shipping documents in SAP against STOs and Purchase Orders (POs).
  10. Enter railcar information on the CSX website and in SAP.
  11. Review offsite warehouse shipments for releases and schedule trucks accordingly.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Shipping Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SAP is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Environment:

  • Mainly office environment but on occasion (when needed) go into the plant
  • Occasionally wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
