Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative / Senior Associate Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Celanese Filaments business by managing the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) process. This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate order entry, pricing verification, order tracking, billing coordination, complaint handling, collections assistance, and master data maintenance.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers and works closely with Sales Representatives, Key Account Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery.
What You Will Do:
Key Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the primary customer interface for external customers and related service providers
- Manage full E2E order execution in IFS, from order entry through invoice creation
- Verify pricing between ERP systems, internal pricing agreements, and customer purchase orders
- Proactively monitor open orders and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Process customer complaints and returns according to established procedures
- Identify and resolve order defects and system blocks
- Support new customer onboarding and maintain accurate customer master data
- Maintain strong internal relationships with Sales, Technical, Logistics, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Product Management, Trade Compliance, Credit, Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Quality teams
- Interact with third-party service providers such as freight forwarders, warehouses, and vendors
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with SOX requirements and internal control guidelines
- Meet or exceed monthly KPI metrics and service level objectives
- Stay informed about company products, services, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience (non-call center environment preferred)
- Experience working within an ERP system (IFS preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of exports/imports, trade regulations, letters of credit, revenue recognition, and documentation requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure
- Strong time management and self-management skills
- Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
