Are you ready to lead the development of a cutting-edge platform in healthcare operations?

Our client is revolutionizing healthcare by connecting doctors, dentists, orthodontists, and more with skilled remote professionals across the U.S. They support over 900 client organizations and 2,500 virtual assistants, enabling practices to enhance patient care.

As they expand, they're investing in a proprietary technology platform to scale operations. They seek a hands-on leader to architect, build, and launch this next-generation platform from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to be the first employee on the R&D team, responsible for shaping the platform's future. This is a remote position.

  • Architect and develop the company's proprietary operations platform.
  • Write initial production code and establish the technical foundation.
  • Select technology stack and design system architecture.
  • Build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Design and manage databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and development infrastructure.
  • Collaborate on frontend experiences and system workflows.
  • Leverage AWS and cloud-native services for scalability and reliability.
The platform will support:
  • Matching clients with remote professionals.
  • Productivity and performance tracking.
  • Billing workflows and contractor payments.
  • Managing large volumes of operational and performance data.
  • Shared services operational model for healthcare practices.
Security & Compliance:
  • Architect with security and compliance frameworks like HIP nd SOC 2.
  • Establish development standards and secure infrastructure protocols.
Engineering Excellence:
  • Set development standards including code reviews and testing frameworks.
  • Ensure platform scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Promote strong engineering best practices.
Team Leadership:
  • Recruit and lead a distributed engineering team of 3-4 developers.
  • Define hiring needs, evaluate candidates, and build the engineering organization.
  • Mentor engineers through architecture discussions and code reviews.
  • Evolve team structure as the platform and company scale.
What You Bring:
  • 5-8 years of software engineering experience, including senior roles.
  • Experience building production-grade platforms from scratch.
  • Strong full-stack engineering with modern cloud architectures.
  • Experience designing scalable APIs, backend systems, and data infrastructure.
  • Experience mentoring or managing engineers.
  • Experience with distributed teams across time zones.
  • Strong understanding of secure system design and development practices.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development workflows.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or secure payment systems is a plus.
  • A pragmatic, builder mindset focused on iteration, speed, and impact.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: Negotiable Based on Experience
  • Bonus: Up to 20% based on company performance
  • Location: 100% remote (U.S. based)
