JOB STATEMENT/SUMMARY
The pharmacydelivery position is responsible for delivery of prescription medication to patients of Coplin Health Systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Transport pharmacy orders to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner while adhering to all traffic laws including speed limits, lane changes, use of turn signals.
- Comfortable driving in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and use good time management.
- Maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient protected health information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other staff members.
- Communicating with pharmacy staff to arrange delivery times.
- Verify accuracy of delivered items against the packing slip or delivery manifest, and resolve any discrepancies with the customer or supervisor.
- When needed, use GPS or other navigation tools to plan the most efficient route.
- Ensures that the pharmacy delivery vehicle is maintained including but not limited to fueling, cleaning, and scheduled maintenance. Bring all related repair needs to the director of facilities maintenance as soon as possible.
- Responsible for maintaining vehicle log records and paperwork required by CHS to document miles driven.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel is to be expected.
This job operates both in a professional office environment and in the community. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with frequent interruptions. While driving, the environment can be stressful with situations including adverse weather, traffic, and deadlines.
