Under the direction of senior Electrical Engineering staff members, this position will support daily activities with a focus on support of cryocooler manufacturing, product and process development, and product improvement at Sunpower. The positon will support the Electrical Engineering lead by assisting with administrative duties such as team management, scheduling, inventory tracking, and reporting. This position will serve as a key cross-functional collaborator in support of Sunpower's Engineering and Manufacturing operations.
Sunpower is looking for a well-rounded engineer that has demonstrated a high level of achievement and initiative demonstrated in educational, intern, co-operative, and/or professional settings. Essential Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of power electronics and controls, electronics development experience and/or manufacturing support experience. Additional compelling but not required qualifications include: Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience/certification. Experience working with a team and guiding day-to-day activities to achieve production goals. Experience with managing hardware flow to meet production schedule demands. Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software and identifying failure modes. Experience working within an ISO 9001, AS 9100, or relevant Quality Management System. General familiarity with laboratory equipment, processes, and safety measures.
