Job Description Job Description W&A Engineering is a growing, multidisciplinary firm offering civil engineering, landscape architecture, surveying, and program management with offices in Georgia and North Carolina. We are seeking 5+ year experienced civil engineers to join our Athens, GA office. From working with clients and across company departments to site visits to producing plans, you'll be involved in many aspects of the land development process. Responsibilities:Site layout, grading, utilities, stormwater management designAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with teammates locally and at other office locationsPermit coordination and municipal outreachPreparation of site construction documentation, including demolition plans, layout plans, erosion control plans, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management, utilities, site details, transportation improvements, and project cost estimates/analysisDue diligence and site analysisPreparation of engineering or technical computations and preparation of design solutionsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, EIT license preferred but not required5+ years of experience as a project engineering working on productionProject experience within either residential, commercial, multifamily, and industrialKnowledge of local municipal, county and state land use, planning and zoning processes and regulationsTeam-oriented, with excellent communication skillsExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land Development, Grading, Stormwater Management, Erosion Control, Site Utilities, and PermittingBenefits Include:Competitive PayHealth insurance: medical, dental, and visionLife insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsRetirement Savings Plan (401k) with up to 4% company matchingLong Term DisabilityPaid Holidays and Paid Time OffEmployee referral bonusGenerous parental leave policiesAt Better Communities Collaborative we are Committed to building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community.
