Manager, Power Systems Engineering - Low Voltage DistributionLocation: Marietta, OHEmployment Type: Direct HireCompensation: $160,000+ annually (depending on experience)Position SummaryA growing power systems organization is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of low-voltage switchboard solutions used in mission-critical environments, including data center applications. This role blends team leadership with technical oversight, ensuring designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with performance expectations.The position partners closely with internal teams and customers to support execution, improve engineering processes, and maintain high standards across all deliverables.Key Areas of ResponsibilityLeadership & Team ManagementProvide direction and mentorship to a team of electrical and mechanical engineersSet expectations around ownership, quality, and timely delivery of engineering workReview and approve design packages, drawings, and technical documentationDrive improvements in engineering workflows, tools, and overall team performanceTechnical Oversight & Design DirectionOversee the design of low-voltage switchboard systems, including UL 891 and UL 1558 applicationsEnsure designs align with customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and system requirementsGuide configuration of breakers, bus systems, metering, controls, and protection schemesSupport development of standardized and scalable design approachesCross-Functional EngagementCollaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready and efficientPartner with sales and estimating teams on quoting, BOM development, and technical alignmentInterface directly with customers for design reviews, technical clarification, and issue resolutionCoordinate with supply chain teams on component selection and vendor strategySupport commercial efforts to ensure proposals are accurate and executableQuality, Compliance & TestingEnsure all designs meet UL, NEC, and applicable data center standardsSupport testing activities including factory witness testing and system validationMaintain documentation related to compliance, certification, and design verificationProject Execution & Risk ManagementManage engineering timelines in a fast-paced project environmentIdentify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategiesSupport execution of large-scale data center and infrastructure projectsContribute to broader business objectives as neededQualificationsDemonstrated experience leading engineering teamsStrong background in low-voltage power distribution and/or switchboard designFamiliarity with UL 891 and/or UL 1558 standardsAbility to review and guide complex electrical system designsExperience supporting quotations, BOM development, and technical proposalsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departmentsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentWhy This RoleThis is a leadership opportunity within a technically advanced environment focused on power distribution for critical infrastructure.
