Job SummaryThe Process Engineer will optimize performance, maximize material recovery, eliminate process waste, and improve productivity & conversion costs. This is done through engineering and metallurgical solutions, focused improvement projects, and process control. This position works closely in a team environment with other Engineers and managers. This position also supports the quality systems requirement for the coil path and customer quality satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and improve processes to improve product capability & performance, process efficiency and material recovery.Provide Technical expertise & support to daily activities.Lead and supports Coil Quality projects and activities.Lead or participate in the investigation, data analysis and implementation of solutions to complex problems involving multiple production centers and technical aspects.Create opportunities for process improvement and act on those ideas through equipment modification, process improvement, material changes, etc.Support the quality systems requirement for the CPG department (internal audits, equipment calibration, MOC, CAR, PFMEA, external audits, etc.).Collaborate with Quality Team on claims/issues that need immediate resolution.Qualifications5 Years experience in Aluminum rolling or finishing, preferred.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline, strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment required.Ability to pass pre-employment testing under specific area of discipline, required.Ability to adapt to a new environment, required.Effective communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences, preferred.Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Preferred QualificationsProficient in Microsoft office.DimensionsResult-oriented with a data-driven, structured approach to root cause analysis and problem-solving.Effective in working in a team environment as well as working with aggressive individual goals.Capable of interacting and leading across multiple areas and levels of the organization.Leading cross-functional teams for process management and improvements.Routine communication to management and to the shop floor about the progress of KPIs and the countermeasures in place to reach targets.Ability to quickly evaluate situations and make timely decisions regarding operating priorities, material disposition, corrective actions, containment requirements, and communication strategy.Frequently deals with issues that are complex with no definitive "best practice" and multiple departments and various levels of management are needed to resolve.Collaborative problem solving within a team and independently.Authority to release material from quality hold based on evaluation criteria.Transparency & Highest Standards of Ethics.Sense of Urgency & Decentralized Decision making.Constellium is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
