OverviewMartin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.ResponsibilitiesAbility to work safely at all timesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel enginesMechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power toolsWeld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipmentOther duties as assignedQualificationsHS Diploma or GED requiredValid US driver's licenseMinimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairsCertification from a trade school is preferredPrevious mining experience is a plusBilingual is a plusA CDL and a clean driving record is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface and/or underground mine setting.
