Williams lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to studies on the comparative biomechanics and physiology of mammalian feeding. The position will be based at Ohio University's main campus in Athens, Ohio, and is a 1‑year appointment with the possibility of a 3‑year extension.Responsibilities Conduct research on the mechanics and physiology of chewing, swallowing, and other oral behaviors using animal models.Apply advanced techniques such as XROMM, electromyography, and diceCT to study muscle and skeletal function.Mentor students and contribute to the broader scholarly environment within the lab and the Ohio Center for Ecology and Evolutionary Studies.Qualifications PhD in integrative or comparative biology or a related field, or ABD with the expectation of receiving the Doctoral degree within 6 months of hire.Strong background in musculoskeletal functional morphology, biomechanics, comparative anatomy, and/or physiology.Experience with XROMM, electromyography, and/or diceCT is preferred.Position Details Location: Athens, Ohio (main campus).Review of applications begins April 6, 2026 and the application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on April 5, 2026.#J-18808-Ljbffr
