They are knowledgeable in all product areas, uphold store policies and standards, and are passionate about outstanding customer service. The assistant assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence and is trained in Manager responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City GearConsult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for departmental and store-wide responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and schedulingAssume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store ManagerAssist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluationProvide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across all departments when necessaryMonitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in every departmentDirect staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completedKeep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trendsMaintain quality customer service standardsPerform general administrative duties as needed and train in the Store Manager's responsibilitiesProvide extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periodsPromote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City GearUphold all Hibbett I City Gear policies, procedures, and standards as outlined in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, and company memosProtect company assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officialsSupervisory Responsibilities Supervises employees in the Store Manager's absence, carrying out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
