Material HandlerThe primary objective of this role is to provide shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facilities. The role ensures that all items are processed correctly for storage and shipment, adhering to established procedures and customer requirements to maintain a high level of quality.ResponsibilitiesPick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage and/or shipment in compliance with procedures and customer requirements.Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying quality, type, and amount, and ensuring appropriate documentation is present.Safely operate distribution equipment as required.Work effectively in a warehouse environment under various temperature conditions including room temperature, cold-room, and freezer-room.Communicate effectively with internal personnel, requiring good communication and customer service skills.Recognize deviations from accepted practices in recurring work situations.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.0-2 years of related experience, preferably in logistics with a life science company.Ability to consistently and independently follow policies, procedures, and meet schedules.Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights.Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing with demonstrated product assembly is beneficial.Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.Flexibility to work any shift with advance notice of shift change and willingness to work overtime as needed.Willingness to handle 'packaged' hazardous materials.Why Work Here?Join a growing facility within a Fortune 500 Company that offers plenty of room for growth.
