Diesel Truck Technician/ Mechanic Job

Schott's Repair Service, INC. in Whipple, OH is an expanding family-owned corporation that has been in business for over 35 years. We are currently looking for a highly motivated person to fill a full-time diesel mechanic position. A mechanic receives assignments form supervisor, performs necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, writes up repair lists, informs supervisor of the repairs, keep records: hours worked, parts used, and billings.

Job Tasks

• Preform repairs and maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment
  • Including brakes and suspension repair with little supervision

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be able to withstand walking, stooping, bending, frequent climb/balance, kneeling/ squatting activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Diesel Mechanic Training
• 1-3 years’ work experience
• CDL
• Knowledge of Forklift operation
